Red flags
- Guaranteed employment or guaranteed visas.
- Requests for payment to a personal bank account or digital wallet.
- Requests for passwords, OTPs or banking credentials.
- Pressure to send money immediately.
- Requests to travel before required approvals are complete.
- Job offers that do not identify an employer or employment terms.
- Requests to use fake documents or provide false information.
What to do
Stop the transaction, preserve screenshots and receipts, and verify the agency and job order through official government channels. If you believe you have encountered illegal recruitment or trafficking, contact the appropriate Philippine authorities and seek immediate assistance.
